Scouts are the third section of the Scouting movement. From the first experimental camp for 20 boys in 1907, the movement now has an estimated 28 million members worldwide, and in the UK alone there are over 400,000 boys and girls involved in Scouting. An increase in adult volunteers with over 140,000 means that more and more young people are now able to take part in their own big adventure.

P1010438 Elvington Scout group meets once a week between 1900 – 2030hrs on a Thursday and our Scout Team Leaders are Stuart Young and Tom Wright.

The Scout Group is flourishing with a Troop size of 28, divided into 4 Patrols with a Patrol Leader and a Assistant Patrol Leader for each Patrol. The Troop normally camp 3-4 times in the year and attend County Camps and Hikes too as well as other organised County Scouting activity.
